The party is on an expedition into the Taldoori Desert and has uncovered the lost temple of Shah'Kira. As the expidition readies itself to enter, a large group of mercenary soldiers swooped in, killing almost all of the armed guard platoon. Circling the surviving members of the expidition crew, their leader states their demands:

Bring him the Axe of Shah'Kira. This temple is said to have been filled with deadly traps and mysterious puzzles. Not wanting to get his hands dirty or lose too many men, his guards funnel the half of the expidition team in to the temple and takes the other half hostage.

If you do not solve the puzzles and avoid the traps, the rest of the expidition will be executed. You must press on. You must find the Axe of Shah'Kira.
