Racing chitanoids has been a tradition in Taldoori for over 400 years. It started almost immediately after the Loved Pharaoh tamed the first group of Chitanoids. It was one of the many reasons why he was loved by the people.

This year marks the 400th annual Chitanoid Racing Tournament, bringing all the best racers to the Ring. At events such as this, only riders who have achieved a certain amount of points thorough the year from competitions are able to compete. However, in the past, certain riders who could not attend were replaced.

The winner of the race is blessed with eternal glory, an extravagant trophy and the winner is granteed an audience with the Shifting Sons, the rulers of Taldoori, a rare gift that is only granted every 25 years. Many citizens would kill for this opportunity. Some have and have met a very grizzly fate. The common method now is bribery and rigging of races.
